Barrett Tarr, AKA “Kid Lennon”, quickly made his way into the hip-hop scene shortly after high school by building a buzz in the open mic circuit in Oklahoma City. After releasing the Blue Peace EP in 2016, Kid gained the attention of Shaquille O’ Neil with his performance of the song “Hippy Kid” at an open mic night. This landed Barrett “Kid Lennon” Tarr on TMZ, Complex, and a number of other national media outlets. Kid Lennon rode this momentum for a while and was able to open for artists like Lil Wayne, Migos, Lil Uzi, Ludacris, and Bone Thugs n Harmony, as well as gain a top 40 spot on the surrounding OKC radio stations.
Nowadays Kid Lennon has created a group called Young Hippy Kids (YHK) consisting of artists, musicians, and activists. If interested in joining the YHK community feel free to follow and interact! @Kid_Lennon
Special note from Kid Lennon: “Everyone who listens to my music is part of a greater cause knowingly or unknowingly. When I started making music I made a promise to use it for a purpose. The purpose I chose was Peace. As I continue working towards entertaining and informing the world, I ask that you all do the same in your own way. Be you. Be great. Be more. Much love to you all.”
